Ambrose would move in a bit at her obvious discomfort. He would lightly settle his hand over hers for a moment, leaning in to soeak in a laughing, awkward voice.
"I can handle weird. I promise I won't judge."
He was attempting to be comforting, but his blushed face and awkward smile on display.

Dakota flinched slightly at the touch, but did not deny his gesture. She gave a little sheepish smile and shifted in the blankets again.
"Well... I'm from the future," She said, shrugging. It felt weird to say aloud, but it was the truth. "About twenty years or so," she added, turning her gaze back to him. With that part out of the way, it felt easier to make eye contact.
"I don't really know what to tell you about my time since it's what I'm used to, and I haven't been here long... so... feel free to ask about it, I guess."

His eyes would widen. He was curious about this. He wanted to ask plenty of burning questions. Slowly, he would move his hand back, looking deep in thought. After a moment, he mentally made a choice. He would look back to her and give his adorable puppy dog smile and head tilt.
"I won't make you do that all at once. Besides, it's your turn."
He would be patient, this was a game after all.

"Um, right, yes, it is," she said anxiously, placing an index finger on her chin as she contemplated questions. She wanted to learn more about him, but she wasn't entirely sure what questions were the right question...
"Well... What about you? Where are you from?" She finally asked, tilting her head curiously. It seemed appropriate to return his question.

Ambrose would give a puzzled expression. Deep in thought and terribly concerned. After a second he would say.
"I... don't remember it's name." He would say. He wasn't content with that though, so he would proceed.
"Somewhere with no metas. Somewhere with less technology. somewhere with tons of water and a lot of dead cities."
He paused, his eyes getting a brief glimpse of memories.
"Somewhere where people were going to die off. We weren't going to last long, and we weren't even trying to save ourselves."
His eyes widened in fear, and his voice got angry and upset as he spoke. Eventually he just spoke with sheer confusion.
"I can't remember how or why, just that nobody had much time left."
After a bit the train of thought seemed to escape him. He would give a soft, concerned smile and speak again.
"Sorry... I wish I could remember more. Though to lighten the mood a bit, do you have any tattoos?"
He thought trying to balance out surface level questions with the heavy hitters would be best.
