"I don't think so, it's still too early to tell. I noticed a lot of you seemed dazed... What was that about? What were you feeling?"

The girl glanced up at the other men, then back to Vesper. She shook her head.
"I don't... remember. It was like, we were all going about our stuff. We were actually coming to visit Maddi and then it was like I saw these, like, weird hoods and then... nothing. Not until this crazy voice just started talking from... nowhere."

"Are you hurt at all? Did you see anything out of the ordinary? Aside from the hoods and explosion of course."

The girl looked down at her arms, checking to see if there were any marks. When she found none, she gave a slight shake of her head.
"I'm not hurt... I didn't see any--"
"What about that one guy?" One of the men beside her interjected. She glanced up at him, and it was like a light went off.
"Oh yeah... There was this one dude. We thought he was part of a pickpocket team, at first. Walking around smiling, bumped into a bunch of people. Real happy, but he gave me the creeps."

Another string to pull on. Vesper nodded along, anxiously awaiting every detail. "What did he..hang on, um-" he stuttered as he looked around, and found a pen within a cup on a stand nearby. Some kind of membership sign-up deal. Whatever. After grabbing both the pen and one of the forms that sat on the table, Vesper came back jotting down what came to mind, namely questions, discoveries, and quick short-hand plans. "Okay, can you guys tell me what he looked like? Anything and everything you can remember."

"He had deep blue hair...." the girl started, obviously trying to look back into her memory. She struggled slightly, humming thoughtfully. "Ummm.... he was tall, like WAY over six foot... and kinda skinny..."
The same guy that had spoken up before jumped in again. "He wore a really nice leather trench coat."
She nodded along with that, lifting a hand to gently tap her cheek with one finger. "He had a really weird smile. It was probably supposed to be a nice one, but it kinda looked... too big for his face."

Ves wrote everything down, attempting to find the perfect ratio between quickly and legibly. "Now did any of you see where he went? Where was the last place you remember seeing him? Did he enter the building that exploded at any point?"

"I... I don't really know. He kind of just disappeared into the crowd."

"Okay. Do you remember any tattoos, facial hair, scars, anything like that?"

She tried to think hard about it, pressing her lips into a thin line.
"His... eyes. He had two tear drop tattoos under each eye."

Vesper wrote down the info. "Okay, perfect. Is there anything else you guys wanna add?" he offered one last time, looking to the girls two friends, considering they hadn't spoken much.

The guys glanced at each other, then down at the girl. The seemed content to remain silent for the interaction. All three gave shakes of their head.

"Okay. Thank you guys so much for your time," Vesper gently said as he wrote on and tore off a piece of his paper. "If you see anything else strange, or something comes to mind you didn't remember before, send me a text. I'm going to try to find who did this."
He'd give the girl the slip of paper which had his number on it.
Upon saying his goodbyes and encouraging the kids to go get checked up, the red head would see what other individuals he could talk to. Growing up in a bar, Vesper had experienced enough police investigations to know getting a story corroborated by several witnesses was important.

The girl took the piece of paper quickly, even as one of the guys reached for it, and stuck it in her pocket. She waved to Vesper as he left and pressed her lips together.
The area had gotten even more chaotic while they talked. First responders flooded the streets, attempting to disperse the crowd.

While everyone was focused on the rest of the crowd, Vesper turned his attention to the building where it all happened, ground zero. Hopefully they'd be too distracted with dispersion that they wouldn't notice him slipping in a side door
He wanted to talk to the paramedics once they had treated people, but he needed to be careful with his priorities. He'd just have to ask the hospitals later what their findings were, if any.

Luckily for Vesper, people didn't seem to be paying that much attention to any entrance that wasn't the front door. It seemed like most of the weirdos wanting to get in weren't quite smart enough or well versed enough to even think about side doors, and the Telluride City Police Force were banking on that fact. He was able to get inside, no problem.
The side door deposited him in a dreary, delapitated looking hallway, with long outdated black and white checkered vinyl floors, peeling wallpaper that only served to expose the older, more hideous wallpaper beneath... and a couple of doors lining the hall. The first one was hanging ever so slightly off one of its hinges, just enough to peek in and see the old, also outdated washing machines in the center of the room, and the dryers with almost all of their doors wide open lining the walls. There was another door firmly closed across the hall from the laundry room, and at least four others lining either side of the hall.

Sounds of Vesper's leather footsteps riddled the hall, until suddenly, they stopped. The redhead was just about to walk away to go find some stairs, when his feet came to an abrupt stand still.
At first glance he thought nothing of it, but he had been in laundromats before; if any dryer was empty, it was still closed. When people finished, they didn't leave the door open. It gets in the way. The business certainly wouldn't want them open either, for the sake of presentation.
Vesper turned around, his eyebrows furrowed as he cautiously approached and entered the laundry room.

The silence was an almost physical force. As soon as the door had closed behind him, Vesper would feel it begin to press against him. The only sound in the abnormally long hallway was that of his feet, his shoes. It was like the busy street was a world away; there were no sounds of emergency vehicles or the groups of gathering people. Not even the faintest of whisper.
As he approached the laundry room, the weight of the silence would become more apparent, leaving a chill behind along his skin. His every movement would take a little longer, as if the world was spinning just a hair slower. It wasn't enough to hinder any activity, but enough to be noticeable. The echoes bounced off the empty walls just the same, but it would take a half second longer to get back to Vesper's ears... While he would be able to get to the laundry room, it would feel as if the journey was just a hair longer than it should have been.
The heaviness would only grow as he finally managed to slip through the door. Inside, a few different light bulbs hung on singular wires, completely exposed and idly swinging from side to side. They cast a sickly yellow light across the room, turning the white machines an ugly, urine color, very different from the way they looked in the hall. A heady sort of smell hung on the air, like mildew and rot, hidden beneath cleaners and bleach. There were plenty of machines, folding tables lining the wall opposite the dryers, and the strange wheeled baskets used to get loads of laundry from one side to another randomly dispersed throughout.
The room itself was empty, and the silence was near deafening as he walked it. It was as if somebody had just taken away his ability to hear anything at all, even the sounds most people didn't realize that they heard regularly. He wouldn't be able to hear himself breathe, or the sound of his feet against the linoleum. As he walked further in, the worse the deafening became, until it was almost a physical pain all the way down his ear canal and straight to the drum.
There were a couple of pieces of printer paper laid out randomly, on top of dryers and on the folding tables... but nothing else noteworthy.

As Vesper was wrapped in pure silence, his hearbeat began to speed up. He felt so vulnerable, as if he was painting a target on his back with each step. Ambushing him would be effortless when the only sounds in the hallway emanated from his own feet. Each step toward the laundry room became softer in an attempt to mask his location.
One step, then another, then... Ves eyed the floor at his feet to ensure he was still moving. His footsteps were getting quieter, yet, he knew it wasn't by his own efforts. Another step, then another. He checked again. It was clear the floor moved as he did... so why did the laundry room feel closer only with every other step? Another step, another step, then another. The eerieness was getting to him; the hairs on his neck lifted, his skin sealed every pore. Another step, then another, then another, then..
Vesper realized he had reached the doorway of the laundry room, the yellow light casted on his shoes serving as a reminder to look up. Though the slowness had seemed to relent, in its place a stench invaded his nostrils, giving his expression a tinge of disgust. The sight of the room only added to it.
Nevertheless, he pressed onward, knowing he couldn't let such a suspicious room be. The silence was...
Vesper stood in place, his eyes wide. He was extremely anxious, and his mind could only cycle through the list of hazards that could be in the room. His heart should have been deafening in his eardrums.. but there was nothing. He snapped his finger in his ear, and tapped his earlobe to see if he had any input to work with.
In any case, he needed to leave that room — possibly the building, but for now, that room. He had to make this quick. With his paranoia through the roof and his head constantly twisting around to eye his surroundings, Vesper hastily shuffled through the laundry room. He took a glance in every wheeled basket he walked past to check for threats, and grabbed one of the pieces of paper to see if there was anything on it. He felt almost a dull pain welling up in his ear, but he had to ignore it. He was on a search for gold and diamonds beside a bonfire of danger.

A pair of eyes peered out at him from beneath the stackable dryers right as he wandered by. His anxiety, once it began, would be impossible to overcome. Control would take a gargantuan effort and, at the end of it all, would only serve to slow the progression of the emotions. It was as if his fear, anxiety, and pain all swirled together and somehow created a living, breathing creature inside his chest. He would begin to feel an icy sensation against the inside of his stomach, as if something were very slowly, very patiently, trying to claw its way out of him.
There were pieces of paper littered around, some wrinkled and balled, some ripped, and some carefully placed at just the right angle. The closer he got to each, the more clearly he could see the small, neat handwriting that flowed across the pages.
Aside from these two things, there was nothing striking, nothing that seemed overly out of the ordinary. The baskets were all empty, void of even the abandoned clothes that seemed to be left behind after every load.
(If Vesper attempts to look at either the papers or the eyes directly, roll a d20.
