Jasper had way too much happen yesterday. So he would get dressed up nice and spend a quiet day at the cities art museum. It was huge, extravagant, and most importantly, quiet. So, staring at all the remarkable work on display, he would just look on, a bit of wonder in his deadpan expression.
As he was walking, he would turn on his high heels and stop at a particularly interesting new piece. He was alone in this section, and wanted to relish in a moment of reflection. It was nice. Almost nice enough to elicit a smile.
Almost...

This particular section was filled with bright lights and vivid colors, everything reminiscent of rainbows and luscious fields of flowers. It was so full of life that it was difficult to resist even the slightest of smiles. But little did Jasper know, he was in fact, not alone. There was one corner in this small section of the museum, that could easily go unnoticed to an unsuspecting eye. The walls were bare, almost industrial, and there was a concrete slab lining against it, with dim stage lights shining down on it. Sitting on the concrete was an androgynous individual who seemed to be in a world of his own. One leg was crossed over the other, his hands were tucked away in his thick jacket, and dangling from his earlobes was what appeared to be fleshy audio jacks, "plugged" into the wall behind him. He wore a blank expression, simply staring at Jasper.

Jasper loved flowers, they were something very close to his heart. Though, as he walked they grey of the concrete would stick out like a sore thumb. As did the attractive person with the almost surreal flesh audio jacks that undoubtedly marked them as an altered.
In most instances, Jasper would have kept walking. But not quite ready to leave yet, he would sit on the slab beside them, one knee up to rest his arms on. And he would stare back for a moment. Head tilted and stunning purple eyes twinkling curiously. He was interested in where this stare off would lead.

The boy's stare was unwavering. As Jasper moved, his eyes followed, and as he sat down on the slab, their gazes met. His own was lifeless, almost doll-like. His irises were thin and gray, but deep within, something glistened, as if a sheet of dust had fallen over what once was a beautiful color. He remained perfectly still and said nothing, simply staring at the stranger.

Jasper would make no sound. Just quietly stand and step adjacent to the person. He would then tilt his head, motioning him to follow.

At the signal, the boy pushed himself to his feet, the audio jacks ripping from the wall and loosely dangling from his ears. Like a puppy following its master, he complied, shadowing Jasper's every step.

Jasper walked every bit like a runway model. Like his heels were as comfortable as bedroom slippers. As the individual followed, Jasper would lead him along to his personal favorites in the museum. Beautiful artwork from ancient times to just yesterday. He would even take him to one of his works that hung on the wall. Depicting a dark train tunnel filled top to bottom with grafiti. The details of paint that seemed to glow as well as perfect technique made it visually stunning.
He wouldn't say a word, just quietly walk, stop, and motion to pieces he enjoyed. He seemed to find pieces with music themes particularly interesting, motioning to his followers ears and giving a playful but non-expressive smirk.
The only real thing of note is Jasper seemed to watch the androgynous figure as they observed the art. His expression muted and observant. Moreso than actually watch the art he would observe them closely. They were very interesting. Both visually and with their quiet mannerisms that Jasper would note.
After a bit, Jasper would motion to them and step back, as if to allow them room to do the same.

The boy took the museum in slow, feminine strides, carefully observing each piece pointed out to him. It was impossible to tell what exactly was occurring in his head, but it was at least obvious that he had somewhat of an artistic mind.
He didn't seem to mind the staring, in fact, he didn't seem to notice it at all. He just absorbed the art, closed off in his own little world, briefly giving his attention whenever signaled.
Finally, whenever Jasper seemed pleased with their journey, and he came to a stop, the boy took a few steps back, as motioned, staring into his eyes, patiently waiting for what was to come.

Jasper would notice he didn't intend on leading. He was curious, but wouldn't push the matter. Instead motioning his fellow effeminate boy to follow him, going outside.
The moment Jasper stepped outside though, art appeared around him. Doodles in air, where he stepped small portraits and drawings were left behind. As he strut and moved his hands, colors outlined his movements, adding to his already pretty appearance.
He would lead the boy to a small cafe. One Jasper liked because you ordered with tablets on the table, never having to interact. He would then offer the boy the tablet, seeing if he wanted anything.

Once Jasper made the first step, the boy was right in his shadow again. Once outside, though, something changed. His empty stare changed to one of timidity. He wrapped one arm around the other and seemed to curl into himself as he walked, as if his comfort bubble had been popped. As the art flourished around them, he moved noticeably closer to Jasper, his once short strides now long.
As they arrived at the café, he took a seat right across from Jasper, his attention immediately shifting to the tablet in front of him. He tilted his head slightly, resting his head in his palm, and extending the other for the screen. In that moment, he winced, a slight whimper escaping him. He raised his hand to his ear, wiping a thin stream of blood away, before resuming his pose.
The audio jack from his opposing ear dangled down, plugging into the device, the screen beginning to flicker wildly before settling on an order confirmation screen: a singular hot chocolate with marshmallows.

Jasper would take note of the timidity. Were they so deadpan before because of these walls? Regardless, it didn't suit him to look so solemn. So he would take a moment and stop. Activating his powers and making curtains appear around them. It would be dead silent for a moment, just them suspended in a small area. Jasper would use his hands to gently grab one of the boys. Guiding him through some deep breaths before letting the curtains drop and moving along. Leaving more doodles behind to obscure himself should he please.
Once at the Cafè, Jasper would just watch the boy curiously. Once the whimper was elicited, Jasper would immediately tense up, deep concern washing over his features as the only expressed emotion so far. Once he saw the blood he would quickly reach and pull out a hankerchief. Offering it with a still concerned look in his eyes despite his face resting in his normal expression.
Jasper would watch as he used his ears to interesting effect. Without breaking eye contact, Jasper would tap his own order of milk tea on the screen. He would then open his bag, bringing out a card to pay as well as a book and a much smaller bag.
He would open it, revealing jaw-dropping pieces of art done in pen or colored pencil, which is exactly what was found when he opened the smaller bag. He would push both it and the sketch book to the middle of the table before motioning to it and the boy across from him, inviting him to draw as he took a pen and began drawing on one of the two open pages.

The boy waved away the handkerchief, his expression unchanging, but his stare one that implied that bleeding was a normal occurrence. Once the orders were placed, the jack retracted like elastic, dangling from his earlobe.
He watched Jasper empty his bag, his gaze following the sketchbook that was now sitting in front of him. He stared at it for a moment, admiring the art on the page, before flipping it to an empty one. Then, he turned his attention to the pencils, reaching for a black one.
Then, he pressed it against the paper, and went to work.

Jasper would work along with him, on his own blank page. He seemed to prefer working in pen, making small strokes at fast speeds, quickly forming movement, texture, almost making personality appear on the page. A fond expression in his eyes as he worked.
After he finished, long after drinks arrived, he would hide his picture with a napkin, waiting for his companion as he sipped his tea.

The boy, however, worked in very slow, consistent, defined strokes. His eyes followed his tool carefully, and he cradled his free hand around his work, mouthing incoherent words to the paper.
Finished long after Jasper, ignoring the drinks as well, he finally set down the pencil, covering the page with a napkin, mimicking Jasper's gesture as he brought the now cold cocoa to his lips.

Jasper would create a spoon that appeared to be on fire appear in his hands, he would stir the boys Cocoa, making it warm as he went on.
He would then remove his napkin. Revealing a portrait of the boy with his eyes possessing a deeply expressive gaze. Looking closer, you could see hints of his skeleton, then more vahue hints of muscle, veins, and organs. It was executed expressively and technically perfect in pen. The shop around him in the background.
Jasper would then look on expectantly. more curious as to what his companion drew.

Once Jasper revealed his piece, the boy set his drink down, and offered his full attention to the detail on the page. It was a depiction of himself, spoken in a metaphorical manner. It was beautiful, gorgeous. It was evident that Jasper was a true artist, despite his Nen's artistic nature.
His expression was unchanging, but it wasn't difficult to tell that he liked it.
Then, he plucked his napkin away, revealing his own piece: It was a bird of its own species, with special detail in its feathers. It was dark and complex, yet something about it was...
"Free," He spoke in a hushed manner, polite and thoughtful. "Your soul is free like a bird, but your body is condemned to its own hell. I wonder what it is."

Jasper would look up, a bit surprised as the boy's words matched his thoughts. Soon, shock would melt into a big, wholesome smile.
"You are a talented artist."
He would speak his first words in a soft, devilish tone.
"This piece of you was actually very similar in meaning. It was how something so pretty, so distinctly and beautifully human could carry such an empty and infinite torture in just a dead stare."
His smile would fade into a more mature, reserved one as he let those words roll out. He would take a sip before continuing, speaking in a really hauntingly pretty timbre.
"I will show you my hell if I can see yours. Misery makes excellent company."
He would say playfully eyeing the boy and sipping his tea again.

He did not respond to the compliments, but he did give thoughtful nods where they were due. In his eyes, every artist was talented, every artist's vision unique, sometimes beyond comprehension of even other artists. Though, it took an artist to know an artist, most of the time.
Then, he gave a playful scoff, taking a slow sip of his hot chocolate before saying, "I don't have a hell anymore.".

Jasper would rest his hand on his head and watch carefully, a coy smile playing across his lips.
"Cool, then I also no longer have a hell."
He would say, letting the implication of "I'm not talking until you do." carry it's weight before speaking again.
"So what brought you to the museum today? I don't think i've seen you around before and I have quite the eye for pretty faces."

He looked as if he had more to say on the subject of hell, but as always, he let his eyes do the talking. He took a long, thoughtful sip of his drink, simply staring ahead at the beautiful stranger until he asked his next question.
Setting the cup down, he gave a sharp tilt of his head. "I like the colors," he said simply, "They made me forget about the pain in my ears."
