“Take out is easier,” she said with a shrug. “It gives me time to do other things, without having to worry.”

"I'll bring you takeout, then. Guarantee I can get it to you faster than anyone else." They shrugged, clearly amused by the situation.

Gidget fell quiet at that, staring out into the city. The thought of telling this stranger where she lived filled her with fear, in more ways than one. She never had people over. She had kept her address safe from everybody, even her parents and her siblings. She barely knew who this person was, and didn’t even know their name. Given, they didn’t know hers....
“I tell you what. Figure out where I live, and I’ll buy YOU take out. Whatever you want, as long as it can be delivered. Do it in less than three days, and I’ll give you the first letter of my name... Do it in one, and I’ll give you the whole thing. But you can’t follow me home.... You have to figure it out on your own.”
She turned to look at them, then, her violet eyes shining with the challenge.

Their gazes met, then, and they so smugly grinned, leaning into her ever-so-slightly, and tilting their head to one side.
"You're on," they purred, crossing one leg over the other. "But you're challenging the wrong thug, sweetheart."

She openly glared at them as they shifted the slightest bit closer to her, though she didn’t move away from them. The glare only darkened when they called her sweetheart, and she ran her bottom lip delicately through her teeth.
“Right... No cheating. I will know if you do. And don’t call me sweetheart. That makes me sound like a child, and I doubt you’re that much older than me, if you are at all.”

They shrugged, shifting back to where they were before. "I'm twenty-one and people still treat me like a kid," they murmured, "But I guess I act like one sometimes, so whatever."

“Shit....” she whispered the word, more out of defeat than anything. She had to stop herself from telling them exactly how old she was. She didn’t want to give them any sort of information that they could use to track her down. She knew it would take them a while to find her, but she wanted to make sure it took them as long as possible, if only to prove a point.
“It probably doesn’t help that you’re basically a midget,”

"Oh yeah, and you're one to fucking talk," they snickered, crossing their arms over their chest. "Uh, but realize that was playful before you push me off the roof, yeah?"

“If I was going to push you off the roof, I would have done it when you called me sweetheart,”
Gidget stuck her tongue out at them and gave a shake of her head. She stared out at the city again and a slight smile touched her lips. It was small, but it was definitely there. There was something about sitting up here and sharing her favorite spot with this stranger that brought her a strange sense of peace, something she didn’t know she could have with another person around her.

They chuckled, reaching up to swipe some of the hair out of their face, before letting silence fall between them again as they both looked over the city. They weren't entirely sure what was to become of this girl, or what they even wanted to become of her, but... this was nice, whatever it was, and they were genuinely happy that it happened.
"Hey," they finally turned to her to break the silence. "I know it was probably hard, or weird, bringing me here, so... thanks."

Gidget squirmed slightly on the edge of the rooftop. She wasn’t totally sure what to say to them. They were right: it was extremely difficult to bring them here, to her space, and she wasn’t totally sure why she did it... but their gratitude made her uncomfortable. She wasn’t totally sure if she wanted to think too much about what was going on here, or what she was feeling. It was probably best to just... ignore it, to push it away until it eventually faded.
She shrugged slightly and stood up, rather suddenly... suddenly enough that, for a moment, her vision darkened. She closed her eyes until the wave of dizziness passed, taking a step back from the edge.
“It’s whatever, man,” she muttered, shifting her weight from foot to foot. “Let’s go. You need my key if you don’t want to take the stairs, and I need to get home so you can start looking.”

As she broke away from the ledge, so did they. They swung their legs over and jumped to their feet, stretching out their muscles while she fought her little daze spell. They walked back to whence they came, waiting for her to follow, with a grin.
She was a dick, but she was a cute dick, that they couldn't deny.
"I'll take the stairs," they shrugged, sliding their hands into their pockets. "So, see ya tomorrow?"

She glanced at them, wondering how much endurance they had to climb down all those flights of stairs. She couldn’t do it, and she knew that. She would pass out before she even managed to get halfway. She gave a shake of her head and followed after them, making her way straight for the elevator.
“Yeah, right. I’ll believe it when I see it.” She dangled her key in front of him for a moment. “Sure you don’t want a ride down? It’s quite a few flights,”

"I'm good, thanks. Enjoy the ride, sweetheart, and don't almost die this time." They said with a little purr and wink, before breaking into a sprint and disappearing down the stairwell. How they could sprint down stairs without tripping would forever remain a mystery.
