She fiddled with her hands and there was a buzz of voices in her head. “How might you know? Maybe if you look you’ll see there is plenty of science that shows plants feel things and listen to those who speak.”

Kai tilted his head in confusion.
"But... I've never seen a spirit plant before nor has one ever been shown to me. Are you sure they are real?"
He asked suddenly getting real serious, determined...

She blinked a time or two. “A spirit plant? You mean like a spirit of a plant? I mean when a plant dies it goes back down to the earth… a plant is not just connected to its blooms there is a whole root system that connects to everything. Maybe it’s essences go to another or maybe it lies in wait gathering strength for something new to bloom never really dying.”
She left her counter while talking and went to pick up a vibrant hyacinth. She looked at it lovingly. “Or maybe… Can you imagine maybe your hair is like a forest? Hundreds fall out and I can even pluck one and you might not do more than flinch… if I yank a handful from the roots you’ll react from the violence. But do you think your hair leaves spirits behind or simply grow back? Imagine maybe a plants spirit is the earth? Because sometimes even the carelessness of a lumberjack can leave a scar.”
And there she went she didn’t want to say anything that was more than just belief but when he asked… she lit up passionately.

Kai looked at his arm as she listened to her analogy about arm hair...
"But... thats not right... or..."
He hesitated. He was confused.
"But... then... do you think there is a way to create a soul flower?"

Faythe thought about the concept or idea he might be saying. But ultimately shook her head. “I don’t think so… I think the spirit in plants goes into or maybe is apart of a bigger flow. To create something like a spirit plant might… stagnate such energy. That’s not healthy by anyones standards.
She couldn’t help but wonder. “But why would you want to do such a thing like that? Make a spirit plant I mean.

He looked at the woman curiously. How was it not obvious.
"To give to a spirit?"

Her hands went to her chest and it aches in the sadness that covered this man.
“I’m so sorry I have no idea if it’s even possible to help you.” She thought about cultures and what not that she had read about over the years. “Most people can only bring offerings to the dead and they believe they carry them when they come to visit like in Dia De Los Muertos and it’s heavily involved in Japanese culture to share drinks and clean the resting place of their loved ones. Never have I heard of a way to give A spirit a spirit of a plant… I couldn’t even begin to wonder if there are plants in some afterlife or if our world mirrors a spirit world where they can interweave themselves all throughout what we do.”

He listened as the woman went on with her explanations before finally shaking his head.
"No. She is still stuck here. Can't go to the realm of the dead. She is young and scared and doesn't understand what happened."
He stopped as he realized he was starting to get more heated. Or rather... cold. The entire shop seemed to have dropped even more in temp. Both Kai and Faythe's breath was starting to show. A feint aura seemed to shimmer on Kai's skin for a moment before disappearing altogether.

“Oh you’re…” her voice lowered into a whisper. “Altered, and you speak to the dead.” This is why her shop has been so noisy with the voices of the others. She thought about what to do. “Ok… ok… maybe we can ask someone.”

Altered... was... that nof obvious? He thought that was why people stayed away from him.
"You know someone?"
He asked curiously, attempting to hide his desperation.

“What you might do to the dead… I do for plants.” Her voice was still low. “It sometimes doesn’t go over well with customers so I don’t like bringing it up or assuming people are altered.”
She went to another bed of flowers which held a tray of pansies and she pulled over a shelf by the front which stood tall some lilies in pots.
“We might see what these two have to say… both of these flowers look into the afterlife pansies are great for finding love and Lilies are experts at sending off a spirit. B-but this is just is belief… and a little stereo typical to assume all pansies see in the afterlife but… no matter what, the secrets these green friends hear can be beyond what we understand and in my shop I’ve raised them from seedlings they’ll be the ones to tell me the most… so come, ask what you want to my friends.”
She slid her hand across the soft petals of the pansies and looked into the deep bloom of a lily she trained her ear to be ready for their answers.
Primary Ability - Bio-telepathy: speaking to plants as a passive she can feel what they want to say or show to her. Just like people they have things to say and personality to show. There is a formation of trust that every plant may choose to establish with Faythe. A +2 multiplayer is accounted for in GM ruled threads can be used up to x5 her likely hood of success decreasing each chance

A cool wind seemed to blow over Faythe's shoulder, chilling the back of her neck as she gazed at the flowers. They were listening... They were always listening. Yet, in that moment, she would feel a great void like a chasm all around her. The feeling passed and in its place, she'd feel the pansies almost quiver.
She's watching... they whispered, all with different voices, all in different tones. It was like a chorus of children, all saying the same thing at the same time, sharing - at the very least - a singular thought. They seemed almost scared, as if they'd flatten themselves down if they could, but they spoke to Faythe as if they had been waiting.
The lily, on the other hand, obviously had more bravery within its green. It continued to stand tall, petals only barely touched by the chill. Instead, it hummed softly, as if it had a song or something stuck in its thoughts. It danced delicately with her movements and seemed to almost move to stare up at her.
What is it you ask? the lily pondered, almost as if it hadn't been listening to every word.

She giggled a little and smiled at the pansies. “These ones seem to be a bit nervous, but they are playful and curious… they might yet have something to say and yes I am watching and listening, always.” she looked to the lily with a lower head out of respect to it facing them. “This vibrant and wise Lily seems to be interested in our plight, how fortunate and grateful we are.”
She smoothed her coat with her hands and faced the lily . “Might we impose on you to inform us of a way to help a scared spirit of a child pass on, our friend seeks a flower she can carry with her as a comforting spirit, is that possible or might there be another way we can help her and how may we accomplish these challenges we face?”

The tiny pansies continued to quiver and whisper in their place, referencing "her" fairly often, their voices overlapping as they tried to make sense of whatever it was that scared them so much. As Faythe looked, it was almost as if they began to cower together, bunching up as if the wind itself pushed their petals together. At that point, their words fell into a quiet, almost inaudible cacophony of sound, something it would take time and attention to decipher.
The lily, however, remained elegant and poised... as lilies were known to do. It towered bright despite whatever had frightened the other flowers, and continued to keep its face aimed towards Faythe, almost as if it were actually facing her and holding her gaze.
Little girl? There was a lengthy moment of quiet, as if the flower contemplated what she asked. It's petals danced slightly, up and down, before it settled still once more. Little girls like pretty things. Souls stay trapped here because they want to, or they can't be forgotten, or because they cannot forget... Maybe offer her a pretty thing to see which one it is? That would help you to answer your own question...
As Kai stood there, he would feel a strange, frosty sensation across the flesh of his shoulder, like a hand made of ice sliding possessively from his back up and over his shoulder, and down to rest on his chest, just above his heart. Pain would singe through him, dull and throbbing, like the re-opening of an old wound... and it was obvious, even to the less-than-bright Kai, that the pain was internal, not physical. And, just as suddenly as it came on, the sensation would fade, leaving behind the dull throb of a broken heart.

Kai felt the aching in his heart... an all too familiar feeling his hand would rub his chest for a moment. Right above his heart, as if to soothe the ache... but his hand would drop quickly as soon as he realized what he was doing. Then he would stand up a little straighter and take a sharp breath. Stuffing that all too familiar back down. Down into the vault inside his heart where he locked away all such feelings...

Faythe took a great long moment to consider the lily’s response. “That’s quite a bit to consider my friend, I appreciate your time. If there is anything I could get you you’ll let me know?” She turned to the pansy plants. “That goes for you all too alright?”
She looked to Kai. “I believe I understand, but I’m afraid we might not have a further understanding about the girl. What might the spirit want, because depending on that might be what is keeping them here?” She would wait for him to answer.

The lily almost seemed to bow, its beautiful petals dipping ever so slightly, just enough for Faythe to notice, before she turned her attention away from the flowers. The whispers of the pansies would continue on for a few moments, but the lily seemed content to fade back into its wise silence.

"Uh... because she is scared? I don't know? Why would you stay and not move on."
He would say folding his arms.

“Probably because I’d leave something important behind or maybe I don’t like where I’m going. As a little girl I’d probably assume the former… obviously she doesn’t want to leave something behind or unfinished.” Faythe pondered.
“I’d want to assume more than anything she’d want to be with her family so either they are here… or there is something more important to her that she has to do… can’t you ask?” She looked at him Dead serious.
