Kai pondered for a moment. He... had never really tried to before.
"Uh... maybe?"
He shrugged.
"I guess its worth a shot."

Did she assume wrong in thinking he spoke to the dead? He made it sound like he had already done so when he mentioned the child was scared and didn’t know what happened. But she waited to see what he’d do next.

He waoted to see of there was more she had to say or suggest when he realized she was waiting on him.
"Oh. You mean now? Well we'd have to go to her grave. That's where she stays."

A shrill sound would pierce Faythe's ears, not unlike a group of small children screaming. It was a quiet noise, but so high pitched that it would feel like a needle going through her brain. Kai, of course, would hear nothing, as the pansies began to cry out at the very thought of Faythe going to the grave.

The pansies gave Faythe an absolute fright. Her chest hurt from her heart as it slammed in her rib cage. Her breath fell short as her hand went to cover her heart as if to keep it from falling out of her ribs. Her knees gave from beneath her and she collapsed in a puddle of grey on hand on the edge of the pansy bed.
“Shhh…” she patted a flower gently. She placed a flat under the petals fingers spreading over the soil at the base of its stem. She warmed the soul with her hand she wanted to comfort the bloom and hopefully let it share her intention. She raised another hand to hold Kai and signal him to stay still. She was catching her breath as she came to their face level.
“It’s okay… what’s wrong? It’s not me is it, who is watching? I’m sorry, I’m listening… I’m here.” Her voice was mothering like a mother holding a crying child with a skinned knee.

Kai raised an eye brow as he did as he was told. Confused he would speak out.
"Is this... normal practice in your place of business?"
He asked confused.

The tiny flowers continued to whimper and moan in fear, despite Faythe's gentle prodding and kind tone. They were inconsolable, the poor things, and continued to quiver visibly, as they all tried to respond to her at once, their voices a jumble of words that would be almost impossible to decipher. A few words might catch her attention, more from how often they were repeated than anything else: girl, don't, hide, and Death, whispered as if it Death itself could hear them.

She tried and tried she listened and tried to focus the voices into one that might have made the most sense.
She ignored Kai’s question to try and speak with clarity the confusion she was facing. “I think… they might be terrified of something else. Like… if I go then it will mean Death or… maybe… oh I don’t know.” She looked at him up and down almost getting a fearful thought that maybe this man means to do her harm. And she blurted she was a Nen User she had put too much faith in the person and the moment.
She rose up from where she was crouching. Dusting off her clothes from the particles of dirt that happened to be everywhere no matter how much she cleaned.
“I… don’t think I can help you further than selling you a plant and send you on your way.” Her heart broke a little coming to this conclusion. The regret and pain on her gaze was a quiver in her voice and lips. The heartache was in her eyes in the form of quick twitches and pooling glaze of fighting back tears. Her nose cheeks and forehead grew a blotchy pink from the stress and emotion welling up. She just had known this man meant no harm to her and if something else did then she’d rather risk it if another could benefit from the fullest of her efforts.
“No… wait… I can’t, just can’t…” She really couldn’t and turned back to the pansies and huffed. “If there is a child’s soul hurting that doesn’t deserve it then I can’t be worried about myself… now if you lot don’t start making sense… I’ll ground you from music time.” A ritual Faythe performed weekly through a small radio where she played music featuring many styles of music to give a sensory experience which some plants enjoy.
She felt a lot of pain as a child, she was confused most of it, just didn’t understand and felt she was being punished for something. She was not like other children and knew this but didn’t understand why. Or why her? She felt children shouldn’t suffer, the fact this child was dead broke Faythe’s heart but worse was the fact they couldn’t even have a peaceful rest and are in pain. Why a child has to suffer for any reason isn’t fair.

Kai... was thoroughly confused now.
"Uh..."
But he decided to not say anything, crazy lady was talking to flowers... and apparently they were answering back... something new every day...
