Unless otherwise specified, Shadows Over Telluride (SOT) uses the same skeleton as the primary story, meaning that the same rules & systems apply. Notable changes are listed below.
Character Creation ; You will still use the standard application (or your own template), however, you will post them in the character sub-board under Shadows Over Telluride to avoid any confusion; remember, this story is a separate canon so we need to keep things extra organized. Each player will be allowed one Prestige II character & as many Prestige I characters as they want. I would post the respective bonuses here but honestly I'm lazy so just DM me about it, 'kay?
Gaining EXP ; SOT is paced much faster than the primary story, meaning there will be a surplus of EXP to help your characters keep up with the chaos. Rather than receiving a set amount of EXP per thread, they will simply be rewarded by the GM at the end of the thread. Rejoice!
Abilities ; Likewise, characters will start with at least a Mastered primary set & are subject to earning upgrades & new abilities in ANY GM thread at ANY time! Pretty cool right?
Hard Mode ; ...that being said, to compensate for this generosity, Hard Mode is permanently enabled, meaning that your character is always subject to permanent injury or death. This should go without saying but please do not let out of character judgement affect in character decisions.
Items ; Lastly, items play an active role in SOT, so there is an inventory expansion! Please add to the default item slots: an additional jewelry slot, two additional misc. slots, & a consumables slot. Consumables "slot" is more like a list as each character will be allowed to hold up to ten consumables. Items may be given for completing assignments, interacting with specific things, or completely arbitrarily! Who knows?
This list may be updated as plot develops.
